Twelve dogs and their human partners emBARK on a once-in-a-lifetime journey around the world. Starting in Los Angeles, the 12 teams are divided into two packs. They will compete in challenges on a Hollywood studio backlot and on two of the worlds most majestic ships while still having the time of their lives. One pack will face an elimination and one dog/partner team will be sent home.
Nine dogs and their human partners remain in the competition of their lives. Their Costa Rican experience continues as our packs travel away from the coastal beaches of Costa Rica, to the inner-city life in San Jose. As the competition heats up and strengths and weaknesses start to emerge, some pack mates start emerging as fierce competitors and others find it difficult to fit in.
Eleven teams embark on their first international experience and head to Mexico City. Two dogs find love, as the packs learn how to work together to navigate the language barrier and new surroundings. They'll discover the country’s main sport, in a game of soccer, experience the culture at a 'Day of the Dead' parade and participate in a practice earthquake rescue drill, to stay in the competition.
Ten dogs and ten human partners remain as The Pack heads to the lush jungle of Costa Rica. With all of nature's glory around them, the packs will experience "pura vida" with challenges filled with adrenaline, thrills and adventure. Teams will face fears, have fun and be reminded of what they came to do. One pack will face elimination and thus, one team will see their journey come to an end.
