It was the year that supermodel Kate Moss redefined festival chic and hit the headlines with her relationship with Pete Doherty - a relationship almost as problematic as the one Dirty Den and Chrissie Watts were experiencing in EastEnders. Love was also in the air for Elton John, Prince Charles and Brangelina – and the nation took Paula Radcliffe to their hearts when she won the London Marathon - in spite of an unexpected pit stop.
