However no one knows what to expect when Hymie has a drink and gets some quality time with Max.

The Robinsons meet a space traveler who turns out to be an Earth man, Alonzo P. Tucker, who was abducted from Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, by aliens, in 1876. Tucker befriends Will by telling tall tales about being a pirate, but it turns out that he is only an ordinary man being pursued by aliens because he has stolen a mind reading device from them. Tucker returns the mind reading device to his alien pursuers, saving the Robinsons in the process.

Later the Cat Burglar posing as a detective arrives at the Clampett's place pretending to secure it against burglars,but is really ""casing the joint."" Elly May sets some traps & catches the cat burglars assistant & Jethro catches Miss Jane. (Much to her delight !)

Jane Washburn, an undercover policewoman, witnesses three youths beat up and rob Kimble. She attends to him, but becomes suspicious after he declines to report his mugging to the police. So, she handcuffs herself to Kimble to arrest him, but he manages to flee the area with her. After Jane sprains her ankle after hopping off a freight train, they break into an abandoned farm house so Kimble can attend to her, as well as saw off the handcuffs. But the family who lives there soon returns and Kimble is held at gunpoint by the domineering and rabid patriarch of the family.
