Kimberly sets off her bombs, destroying half of the building. MacKenzie suffers a fatal heart attack. Billy breaks down Alison's door and pulls her to safety, although she is blinded by the blast. Peter saves Kimberly from drowning after the impact knocks her into the pool. Kimberly is placed in the psychiatric ward, and is unable to recall the events of the past week. Billy storms out when Hayley calls him to task for not immediately taking Brooke on their honeymoon. Brooke later moves out of the mansion and into Billy's apartment. Jess is killed in the fall from the construction site, while Jake suffers only minor injuries. He shuns a guilt-ridden Jo. The jailed Matt is enraged when his parents seem to suspect that he is guilty of murder. They win back his trust when they put up their mortgage to bail him out of jail.

Jason takes Neri and Mera swimming off the ORCA platform. Mick finds out and heads out on a jetski, he falls off and must be rescued by the girls. Neri helps Mick with his reading, he in turn joins the others in keeping Neri and Mera a secret. Forsythe tries to get access to Dianne's research and cripples HELEN in the process, in the confusion Lyselle sees Mera in the coridor and reports back to Dr. Hellegren that Neri and Mera are on ORCA. Winston, receiving strange signals from Neri's island, goes to investigate and meets two strangers, but back on ORCA he says his trip was uneventfull.

Kate gets the result of her blood test that she sent off under another name, and it's bad news, but she keeps it to herself. Joe sets fire to the gypsy's caravan, Nick catches up with him but Joe attempts to assault him during the arrest. Clothes go missing off washing lines in the area. Kate goes into labour, and once she arrives at the hospital baby Sarah is soon born, Nick is over the moon, but his hopes are suddenly dashed when Kate tells him she has leukaemia.

New transfers to Bayside include three students from arch-rival Valley High: R.J. ""Hollywood"" Collins, head cheerleader Maria Lopez and Ryan Parker, who stole Bayside's mascot the year before. The old gang greatly resents these newcomers. Ryan makes plans to date Lindsay, make Maria the head cheerleader and get R.J. to emcee the Welcome Back dance. The two groups fight so much that Mr. Belding makes them stay on separate sides of the gym at the dance and wear identifying badges. But before the night ends, the enemies all dance with each other. Also, Tommy D. is thinking of how to get back together with his old girlfriend, Lindsay.
Saved by the Bell: The New Class
Season 3, Episode 2
Maria and the others are trying to win tickets to the Grungefest from the radio station, but Lindsay wins them on her first try! Tommy has told Lindsay that he wants to get back together with her, so she must choose between him and Ryan. The girls hold a slumber party to help Lindsay decide. Tommy borrows some high-tech communication equipment that Screech has bought for the school and he plans to bug Lindsay's room. Ryan has the same idea, though, and he gets R.J. to help. Eventually all the boys end up hiding in Lindsay's closet or under her bed. A few more misunderstandings occur until Lindsay finally decides to go to the show with Maria.
